Recommendations: State Schools for ASD kids?

Hey guys - this is going to be a bit of a long shot, but I have to try.

I have to return to Brisbane for work at the end of the year - after 3 years up on the Sunshine Coast. I have a 9 year old daughter with Aspergers Syndrome (not high-functioning), and naturally I'm mostly concerned about the right school for her. I don't care where I move, and how much rent I have to pay - as long as she will be supported in the right school. She has teacher-aide funding that will follow her - however there are higher levels of support than others - and I'm after recommendations for the best. She's at a brilliant school right now - which is tolerant and supportive and she has absolutely blossomed (in comparison to her last school where she was the victim of bullying, daily harrassment and even death threats) (I'm ashamed to say - I teach at this school - different campus) . This is why I'm so passionate about finding her a school similar to the one that she's so happy in now.

Does anyone here have any experience with special needs in the State System? Or better still - does anyone have an ASD child in a particularly fantastic state school in Brisbane? I'll even be happy with schools to avoid. There's just so many schools in Bris - I don't know where to start! I've contacted the Autisim Association of QLD (and similar groups) - but I thought I'd go to the place that has its finger on the pulse!

Any insight would be really appreciated! Thanks!
